How to market to a multicultural society
Friday, April 16 | 11:30 a.m. Networking | noon – 1 p.m. Presentation
The Ocala Chapter of the Florida Public Relations Association will hold its monthly professional development meeting virtually via Zoom on Friday, April 16, from noon-1 p.m., with networking starting at 11:45 a.m.
The featured speaker is Justin Brennan, director of impact partnerships at Participant Media and president of Purpose & Vision Consulting.
In his presentation, “How to market to a multicultural society,” Brennan will provide insight on how public relations practitioners and marketers can strengthen and redefine partnerships and content strategies to be more inclusive, effective and stabilizing.
Brennan’s experience and accolades are diverse and significant. He recently led Fast Company’s 2020 “World Changing Ideas” award-winning campaign, a COVID-19 campaign for the National Domestic Workers Alliance and a “We Rise” festival with the LA County Department of Mental Health to reduce stigmas and provide better mental health access.
At Participant, Brennan worked with corporations, historically black colleges and nonprofit organizations to elevate filmmaker panel discussions for films, such as: “Roma,” “RBG,” “Green Book,” “Dark Water,” “On the Basis of Sex,” “America to Me,” “John Lewis: Good Trouble” and “Judas and the Black Messiah.” These discussions built relationships and provided tools and resources to leaders and corporations, such as Nike, Lyft, Facebook, Amazon and others.
Through his Purpose & Vision Consulting company, Brennan passionately consults with brands on best practices for marketing in a multicultural and inclusive society with the goal of building authentic partnerships that bring visibility to the invisible.
The cost to attend the virtual meeting is $10 for members and $15 for nonmembers. The reservation deadline is Wednesday, April 14.
