DESCRIPTION:Special Thanks to our Professional Development Meeting sponsor: Showcase Properties of Central Florida! \n \nFriday\, September 16th | 11:30 a.m. Hot buffet lunch served | 11:45 a.m. Leadership icebreaker | noon – 1 p.m. Professional Development Guest Speaker \nAttend our first professional development meeting of the new chapter year at the College of Central Florida as Margaret Spontak\, past Ocala Chapter president in 1984\, presents on her work with the Free the Ocklawaha Coalition. Spontak will provide insights on how the coalition increased public awareness\, engagement and support for reconnecting the Ocklawaha River to the Silver and St. Johns rivers and Silver Springs. This work won the Free the Ocklawaha Coalition the Ocala Chapter’s 2022 Wilton F. Martin Institutional Communicator of the Year Award which was accepted by Spontak.  \nHot buffet lunch will be served from Milano Italian Grille starting at 11:30 a.m.\, Leadership ice-breaker starts at 11:45 a.m.\, and the one-hour program begins promptly at noon. \nThe cost to attend  is $20 for members and $25 for nonmembers.
