DESCRIPTION:Special Thanks to our Professional Development Meeting sponsor: Taylor College!\n \nFriday\, June 14\, 2024 | 11:30 a.m. hot buffet lunch | 11:45 a.m. Chapter updates | noon – 1 p.m. Professional Development meeting \n  \nAttend our June Professional Development meeting with Jonathan Levy\, WCJB TV20 News Director\, and better “Develop Your Media Relations”. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nJon’s team is the only television news outlet with reporters living in Marion County and working out of an Ocala studio\, bringing our community truly local news. Jon will provide insight into how to develop relationships with local media\, what information local media needs to consider your story for broadcast\, and how advertising with local media makes a huge difference in our community. \nJon moved to Gainesville from South Florida in 2001\, completed two degrees at UF\, and made a name for himself in radio as a Rock 104 DJ and WUFT journalist. He left North Central Florida in 2011\, launching an all-news radio station for CBS in Washington\, DC. Jon and his wife returned to Gainesville in 2015 as he started his career with TV20. He has been WCJB’s news director since 2017. \n  \nA hot buffet lunch will be served starting at 11:30 a.m.\, followed by chapter updates at 11:45 a.m. The one-hour program\, “Develop Your Media Relations\,” begins promptly at noon. \n\n\nWe will be meeting at Taylor College (2531 E. Silver Springs Blvd.\, Ocala\, FL 34470). \nThe cost to attend  is $20 for members\, $25 for nonmembers\, and $15 for student members.  Please select an option from the dropdown below to pay via PayPal.  \n*Hot buffet lunch will be served.
