DESCRIPTION:“Communicating with Employees through a Looking Glass”\nAmelia Bell\, APR\, CPRC\, communications manager at RTI Surgical\n \nFriday\, Sept. 17 | 11:30 a.m. Networking | noon – 1 p.m. Presentation\nThe Ocala Chapter of the Florida Public Relations Association will hold its monthly professional development meeting virtually via Zoom\, on Friday\, Sept. 17\, noon-1 p.m.\, with networking starting at 11:45 a.m.  \nThe featured speaker is Amelia Bell\, APR\, CPRC\, communications manager at RTI Surgical\, who is responsible for the company’s corporate and marketing communications\, including internal communications\, media relations and corporate social responsibility initiatives. \nIn her presentation\, “Communicating with Employees through a Looking Glass\,” Bell will present five strategies for effectively communicating with employees when the world is upside down. \nThroughout her career\, Bell has worked with public and private organizations to motivate external audiences to act\, promote events\, launch new products and inspire employees. A long-time FPRA member\, Bell is a past president of the Gainesville Chapter. She was a member of the inaugural LeadershipFPRA class and a recipient of the Doris Fleishmann award. Bell earned a master’s degree in mass communication and a bachelor’s degree in public relations from the University of Florida. \nThe cost to attend the virtual meeting is $10 for members and $15 for nonmembers. The reservation deadline is Wednesday\, Sept. 15. From May through July\, the chapter meets on the third Thursday of each month at the same location (due to the College of Central Florida’s summer schedule). \nNetworking takes place from 11:30-11:55 a.m.\, and the one-hour program begins promptly at noon. RSVPs cannot be guaranteed without payment. \nIf you have already prepaid annually or quarterly for the professional development meetings\, RSVP by emailing Savannah Silliman at savannah@reillyartscenter.com to reserve your seat. \nTo prepay online and save time when checking in at the meeting\, RSVP by using your PayPal account or credit card to pay for your seat.
