Dr. Seuss once said, “Think left and think right and think low and think high. Oh, the thinks you can think up if only you try.” As we move into February one of the “thinks” I hope you are thinking about is what you are going to submit for your Image award!
Something we (as PR professionals) have in common with Dr. Seuss is our creative nature. Creativity varies greatly from person to person but the foundation of making something out of nothing is the same. Creating plans, campaigns, programs, etc. is something we are very familiar with in our industry.
The 2019 Mid-Florida Image Awards offers a great opportunity to reflect on the projects you have worked on over the past year and submit these entries for an opportunity to be recognized in front of your peers and the community at our Image Awards and Communicator of the Year celebration on April 16.
Another way we can celebrate creativity is by thinking about what kind of life we want to have. We can truly create the life we want and it important to celebrate the journey (and achievement) of both professional and personal goals. As a member who just received their APR, I know this to be very true.
If you have a professional (or personal) goal you are working toward, please let me know! I would love to have our chapter celebrate the journey and accomplishments of our members.
CALL FOR IMAGE ENTRIES
The Mid-Florida Image Awards competition is conducted annually by the Ocala Chapter of the Florida Public Relations Association to recognize outstanding public relations programs as well as marketing and communications work. By recognizing the very best examples of innovation, planning and design, the Image Awards encourage and enhance public relations, marketing and communications professionalism in the communities we serve.
Save the date for the FPRA Regional Summit, our chapter’s annual professional development event! This year’s event, previously known as Toolkit, will be a full-day, conference style event with three general session speakers and four breakout sessions, with two speaker options each. Breakfast and lunch will also be provided. We hope you will make plans to join us!
A full list of speakers and registration information will be announced soon! If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Katie Hunnicutt at firstname.lastname@example.org.
