I’ve been in Ocala since I was four.

Really good at cutting friends bangs…and I have mentored youth for almost 6 years.

What attracted you to FPRA?
I have been looking at different conferences and associations to join or attend to continue my professional development and my supervisor, Lisa Lombardo, suggested I look into this. After, reading up on FPRA, I realized this was the perfect association for how I am looking to grow my career.

Favorite aspect of PR:

Promoting the company I love.

Tammy A Gantt

Where are you from?

Missouri native, college years in Arizona and Puerto Rico, then Miami 15 years.

Affiliation with public relations:

Most of my experience has been in the equine industry, gaming industry (racetracks/casinos) and non-profit worlds. My proudest achievement has been launching commercials promoting the industry and the launch of Horse Capital Television on 8 online platforms.

Little-known fact:

I was born in an elevator, as my mom said I was always on the way up!

What attracted you to FPRA? Ginger Broslet and the relationship we developed planning for the state board meetings at our offices, museum and gallery. It was great to see how hard working everyone was and also at the end of the day how everyone still had a lot of fun and really enjoyed each other’s company and profession.

Favorite aspect of PR:

The creation of something from nothing when it comes to content for video, social media, online platforms, etc. The idea you can choose very specific words and images to convey message to so many others to help them understand your perspective, to be open minded and to learn more about the world around them.

 


 

Niki Tripodi

Development Director, Kimberly’s Center for Child Protection

Where are you from?

Dayton, Ohio

Affiliation with public relations:

I have been in sales, marketing and communications for over 20 years. My current role as Development Director of a local non-profit, Kimberly’s Center for Child Protection involves community presence and professional networking.

Little-known fact:

I am married with three children.  I am convinced that people are the engine of the universe. Being a bridge that unites others with compassion and meaningful stories are worth the risk. My hope is to be a part of positive transformation for many years to come.

What attracted you to FPRA?

The caliber of professionals involved in the association and quality of the chapter meetings. I am impressed with the warmth of the very welcoming local members.

Favorite aspect of PR:

Leadership opportunities and professional networking.

I am eager to expand my network and learn new ways to inspire other to create real change.

 


 

 

Brandon Kalloo Sanes

Public Information Officer, Marion County Board of County Commissioners

Where are you from?
I am from St. Thomas in the United States Virgin Islands.

Affiliation with public relations:
I am an Air Force Reserve Public Affairs Specialist with the 920th Rescue Wing, Patrick AFB, FL. I am also the Public Information Officer for the Marion County Board of County Commissioners.

Little-known fact:
• Air Force Basic Military Training honor graduate
• Enjoy spearfishing and sailing
• First time riding a horse was in the Horse Capital of the World

What attracted you to FPRA?
The MCBCC and my supervisor afforded me this awesome opportunity to represent our department at FPRA meetings. By joining FPRA, I hope to learn more about public relations from a diverse group of professional communicators.

Favorite aspect of PR:
I have the unique ability to help people feel valued and respected through storytelling. That’s why writing is my favorite aspect of public relations.

Sara Powell

Where are you from?
Current: Dunnellon, Florida
Recently moved from Cave Creek Arizona, grew up in Lexington Kentucky

Little-known fact:
I showed horses all of my youth up until college finishing third nationally in my division and first in Kentucky.

What attracted you to FPRA?
I was referred by a mentor of mine, Tammy Gantt who is employed by the FTBOA. I love networking with people and thought this association sounded like a perfect opportunity to meet new business professionals, but also expand my knowledge of the Public Relations field.

Favorite aspect of PR:
Meeting new people and educating them on the services our business offers.

I am thrilled to be a new member and look forward to expanding my knowledge of the Public Relations field and becoming the very best I can be!


Keren Jones

Director of Communication, Ocala/Marion County Chamber and Economic Partnership.

Where are you from? I was born in South Dakota, but I have lived in Ocala, FL for most of my life.

Affiliation with public relations: I am the Director of Communications for the Ocala/ Marion County Chamber & Economic Partnership. In this job capacity I handle all internal & external communications for the organization.

Little-known fact:
I am ambidextrous.

What attracted you to FPRA?
The members of FPRA represent a variety of leaders in my community that are making a difference. Being part of an organization that gives valuable practical experience was a must for me.

Favorite aspect of PR:
My favorite aspect of PR is being able to communicate with the entrepreneurs in my town. The most rewarding aspect is the positive influence I am able to have on my community.
